The Most Amazing Breakfast

Ever since I moved to Los Angeles, all of my clients and friends have been talking about this restaurant that serves the most amazing breakfast food. It’s called, “The Griddle,” located in Hollywood. The funny thing is, I have driven by this place everyday on my way to work and not even noticed it. It looks like such a hole in the wall, but if you drive by an hour after it has opened, there is ALWAYS a line wrapping around outside the door.   So I recently tried out The Griddle, making sure to arrive no more than 20 minutes after the doors had opened, and even then I got one of the last available tables. I ordered the “Banana Nana” pancakes, and even though I had been warned, I still was blown away at how huge these pancakes were! Literally the pancakes are as big as your head. And for those people that know me, you know I can put down a lot of food when I want to. But there was no finishing these monsters! I must say though, the ingredients are so fresh. Fresh fruit or whatever menu item there is, you can tell is totally fresh and full of flavor. I have since been back to The Griddle one other time to try the “Hear Me Roar” pancakes – fresh strawberries and frosted corn flakes baked into the pancakes – SO good!!

If you are ever in the L.A. area and are a fan of breakfast food (especially pancakes!...but I do hear the French toast and omelets are out of this world too), you MUST try this restaurant. Even if you have to wait, I promise it will be worth it! Check out the menu here: www.thegriddlecafe.com
