So I've been big into exercising outdoors lately.  Spring time in Southern California is absolutely gorgeous and there are so many ways to take advantage of being active outside.  I honestly haven't touched a piece of gym cardio equipment since last September.  I get a great cardio effect from the way I weight train, but just recently, I have breathed new life into my training by getting outside 2-3x a week to train, whether it be hiking, or running the Santa Monica Stairs as you see me doing in this video.  There are 142 steps, and they are STEEP, especially at the top.  It reminds me of my days at Oregon State when I used to often run the stadium stairs.  I love how challenging running the stairs is; it's amazing for leg shaping, and it's far from boring!  As you see in the video, there are A LOT of people who go to run the stairs at Santa Monica, so I played a little competitive game of passing as many of them as possible before reaching the top ;)  Let me just tell you, my legs were PUMPED and shaky after 30 minutes of going up and down those stairs!  Another great outdoor workout with another amazing view.
